Masayuki Mochizuki
Mochizuki was born in Tokyo January 9, 1979. He is the member of the Japanese Backgammon League which is well know all over the world that has played for more that a decade in the international circuit. In his career he has obtained plenty impressive performances. Eight years ago, in 2003, we finished successful in the Las Vegas Open. In 2005 the Japanese player took down the Bristol Open and in 2006 the Belgian Open. In the same year when he won the tournament in Belgium he also got the Second Consolation of the 2006 World Backgammon Championship in Monte Carlo.

However he did not give up regarding his dream to become world champion and there years later he managed to win the prestigious backgammon tournament in Monte Carlo. But beside playing live backgammon Mochizuki is also passionate about playing this board game on the Internet. The Japanese player beside of his impressive portofolio is also the owner of the lowest Snowie error rate. He has managed to accomplish this in 2007 at the 20th PartoucheGammon Nordic Open Backgammon Championship which took place In Denmark when he won the side competition entitled “Lowest Error Rate”. According to the Snowie program he managed to obtain 1.9.

Mochizuki although he is a player that has managed to achieve top notch performances in some of the best backgammon tournaments in the world there are only a couple of them which he enjoys a lot. In an interview he declared that his favorite tournaments is the annual Barriere event which takes place at Enghein-les-Bains near Paris, France.
